Wilson Evo NXT ball adjustment system — teams unfamiliar with the tournament ball miss more shots
The NCAA tournament uses the Wilson Evo NXT as its official game ball. Teams that use a different ball (Nike, Adidas, etc.) during their regular season face an adjustment period — different grip, feel, and bounce leads to missed shots.
SPREAD plays: When an NXT team faces a non-NXT team, bet the NXT team's spread. The non-NXT team will struggle with the unfamiliar ball.
UNDER plays: When two non-NXT teams play each other, bet the under. Both teams will miss more shots than usual.
Confidence boosters: 🔥 Heavy 3PT reliance (250th+ in 2PT scoring) — worse with new ball. ⚠️ High FT rate — attacks basket, less affected. ✈️ 2,000+ mile travel — less practice time with new ball.
